#37: Young Lovers


We thought we were in love,

Thought the world bow to our unyielding love for each other,

We imagined our lives together,

Exhaled fears,

Sat silently,

And ran loudly,


We were young lovers.


And so we clung together,

Until one day,

The sun set and winter entered,

No longer did our hearts echo old sentiments,

But instead we grew bored,

And the fire that once blazed,

Was soon replaced by ashes-

Past memories of two young lovers
